Our Instructors

Our instructors have traveled the world, contributing to some of the biggest 3D projects and virtual productions in history. With over a decade of experience across every stage of the design and production process, they bring an unmatched level of expertise to guide and inspire Future Island’s students.

Rikard Storheil Eriksen

While most Norwegians are born with skis on their feet, Rikard seemed destined for 3D from the start. His passion for the craft started at just 12 years old, eventually leading him to earn a Master's degree in computer science and graphics from NTNU. As the first-ever Future Island-approved student, Rikard now leads as our main instructor, inspiring the next generation of 3D talent.

Remi Vaage

Inspired by the magic of video games and Pixar films, Remi discovered his passion for 3D animation early on. With an MA in Digital Character Animation, he expanded his expertise to CG for Broadcast, mastering everything from modeling to lighting. Now specializing in Unreal Engine for real-time graphics, Remi serves as an Unreal Authorized Instructor and Myreze's Head of 3D, driving innovation while mentoring his team.

Jo Figenschou

Enthralled by the world of 3D at a young age, Jo Christian Figenschou shares a passion for bringing digital creations to life, with the Unreal Engine holding a special place in his heart. Today, his focus has shifted to real-time workflows with Unreal Engine as a senior 3D artist. Passionate and driven, Jo continues to explore the transformative power of 3D in the digital landscape on a global scale.
